CMYK: FACTORY YELLOW EDITION

As part of a final-year project at university I was asked to work with one colour and to choose an appropriate format to work with. While researching, I came across the G.F Smith Colour Archives, and after discovering the fascinating 'Canary Girls' I decided that I would celebrate Factory Yellow. This project features the typeface 'Gibson' which was released in 2011, the same year Factory Yellow was released. I also entitled the book 'CMYK', inspired by the relationship between paper, colour, and print. One of the requirements of the editorial format was promotion - I decided to design a podcast, social media, a book launch, and packaging.
